my worst dining experience in years was at a Noe Valley restaurant called Ciccia. The noise was horrendous and the fish dish I ordered tasted like glue with a cold sauce on top. I mentioned this to the waitress who sent out the chef who reprimanded me and refused to take it back or substitute another dish...I can't remember ever being treated so rudely.......and the food for my companion was equally tasteless.

Dine Out Tonight for Kids--Mission District--San Francisco

Join diners at Foreign Cinema on Nov. 7th (2534 Mission) and a generous percentage of all proceeds for food and non-alcoholic beverages will be donated to the Streetsmart4kids campaign. I had bacon candy today at Christmas Brunch at my son's and it was delicious! He dredged good quality smoked bacon in freshly ground pepper and then brown sugar and cooked it in the oven on a rack at 350 degrees. I loved it!
