My Heart? It's staying in Vancouver.
I love this city. It's beautiful, it's clean, the people are nice, and 'eating seasonally' isn't a gimmick - it is just what they do.
Dogs are part of the landscape (we've met several Frenchies already), and people actually walk everywhere, hills be damned.
There is green space all around you, and not just where it is 'convenient'. Being an 'environmentalist' here means you want to do your part to take care of the planet, and it isn't something to spark political debate.
Everyone speaks a couple of languages, and they know what's going on in the world outside their own borders.
And I haven't even started in on the food.
I'm a little bit in love with Vancouver, folks.

O No! Or O yes, depending on how any of us could look at it... wonderful to hear from you! I've heard many a person wax poetic about the place. Glad you get to have a highlight amidst your insane travel schedule.
but we do miss you...

I have a deep and abiding adoration of British Columbia in general. Vancouver rocks. When we were there several years ago we had a meal at C Restaurant that was most memorable for the Octopus Bacon -- strips of octopus meat that had been smoke-cured like bacon. A. Maz. Ing.

Welcome home! I felt the same way after visiting V last Summer. I can't wait to go back. It has such a wonderful mix of different cultures and thoughtful people.
