You're probably sick of hearing this from every single Paper Chef Judge, but this was way harder than I expected it to be.
Every single participant did something inventive & delicious-sounding (especially to this gal who loves all four of the chosen ingredients).
In the end, though, there can only be one April Paper Chef, and this month the award goes to Banana in Australia for his Garlic Chive and Goat's Cheese Ravioli with Sherry Vinegar Reduction and Prosciutto Shards.
I was impressed with how much attention he paid to the textures in addition to flavors - in fact, as I started reading the recipe, I thought the prosciutto would be a jarring addition until he explained the thinking behind it, and I was sold. I also loved the beautiful plating, and the fact that the recipe is pretty approachable and not too difficult to put together.
Honorable Mention for Best Photography: Alice, of Epicurean Debauchery. Her little fusion-sushi rolls are visually stunning.
Honorable Mention for Gung-ho Effort: Belly-timber, whose first post ever (after their introduction to the blogosphere, of course) is an entry for Paper Chef!
Congratulations to you guys, and big props for every participant. I, for one, am excited to check out all the recipes posted this month!
